Bronx Bullyz Inc: American Bully Breeder | Bronx, NY

Bronx Bullyz IncState your name, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Pudge and I own Bronx Bullyz Inc. My kennel is located in the Bronx, New York.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

I breed American Bully’s. I was born and raised with pit bulls, so when I got my first American Bully, I noticed the big difference. I also saw the similarities that made me appreciate and pursue this amazing breed.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

My bully’s eat 3 times a day and drink lots of water. They are walked throughout the day. Every now and then they might get a fun snack, which is also raw. They also work themselves out by playing with each other. I like to keep them active as much as possible.

What is your favorite bloodline?

Honestly, I love the breed, not the blood. If your bully looks good and healthy, the pedigree shouldn’t matter. If I had to choose just to answer your question, It would be Gottiline. That bloodline runs a lot through my dogs.

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?

Yes, I do show my boy Melo The Don, in the ABKC shows. His daughter Mela Paige, will be in the ring soon.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?

My advice for the upcoming breeders is don’t chase the hype. Build and breed with a vision. Don’t just sell to anyone. Keep it about the growth of the breed, not the money.

What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bullygame to overcome?

The most difficult thing for us to overcome in the bully game, is the fact that no matter how good your bully looks, you will never get the recognition or support you feel you deserve.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

The way to overcome this issue is to support each other. You have to defend and promote the breed as positively as possible.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I don’t look up to anyone, but I definitely respect everyone. My boy Ray, from Rays Finest Bully’s, definitely showed me a lot about the show ring and I appreciate him for that. Don’t get me wrong I like what I see in a lot of camps, I’m just more focused on my kennels growth and future.

Tell us about one of your most memorable moments, in 2017 so far.

My most memorable moment in 2017 is when I incorporated Bronx Bullyz Inc. It makes me feel like all my hard work is finally becoming what I envision. I’m just trying to make a future for my family.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully Community, to be 10 years from now.

In 10 years, I just hope the love and respect we have for each other only gets stronger. We can continue to spread the knowledge, positivity, and growth that this breed has to offer.

What separates your kennel from the competition?

What separates my kennel from the competition, is the only competition is ourselves. This is not a race. I try to make every litter better than my last, working with what I have. I still manage the time to show love and support by showing others I’m not here to compete. It never hurts to support one another.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

Besides my dogs, I live a regular life of hard work and responsibilities. We fit the fun in when we can. My biggest hobby is baseball and riding bikes. The hobbies vary during the seasons.

What motto do you live by?

My motto is “The Grind Pays” if you don’t grind you don’t shine.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

We love you guys, and appreciate your support. What you have been doing for the bully game gives kennels opportunities to network and show their productions, and dedication to the bully world.
