Knucklehead Bullies: Standard and Pocket American Bully Breeder in Florida
Arthur and Crystal Buzzard are the proud owners of Knucklehead Bullies, a small family kennel located in sunny Central Florida, Kissimmee. This dynamic duo breeds American Bullies, both standard and pocket sized, French Bulldogs, and English Bulldogs. Their love for these breeds was inspired by their loyal and loving personalities. The Buzzards ensure the health of their breeding dogs by regularly visiting the vet and performing Embark and UC Davis genetic tests.
Raising their puppies in the family home, the Buzzards give them the best start in life by providing one on one attention, socialization with other dogs and children, and age-appropriate stimulation. Potty training begins at 5 weeks to make the transition to their new homes a smooth one.
The Buzzards feed their dogs a combination of quality kibble and raw food, including essential vitamins and supplements, with their adult dogs fed daily in the morning and puppies fed three times a day. Exercise is a big part of keeping their dogs in shape and with Florida's sunny weather, they are able to enjoy outdoor activities year-round such as playing fetch, tug of war, jumping, and pulling at the flirt pole.
The process of purchasing a pup from Knucklehead Bullies starts with answering any questions the customer may have and providing pictures and videos. The Buzzards also encourage their customers to read reviews and check out their social media pages to make an informed decision. A deposit is placed to hold the puppy until it is ready at 8 weeks of age. The remaining balance is due at pickup or delivery, and the Buzzards keep their customers updated with weekly videos and pictures. Their puppies come with up to date vaccinations, deworming, and a Florida Health Certificate, as well as ABKC or AKC registration.
Additionally, the Buzzards offer lifelong support to their customers and consider them an extension of their Knucklehead Bullies family. Their puppies also come with a guarantee on any genetic or congenital health issues that may affect their quality of life.
As a family dedicated to their love of American Bully dogs, the Buzzards are currently training a few dogs for the ABKC show circuit in the pocket American Bully class. The Buzzards have some advice for any upcoming breeders: do your research, invest in quality, and don't follow the hype. They also suggest seeing prospective studs and puppies in person to avoid getting caught up in the hype.
One of the most challenging things for people in the Bully community is the hype surrounding certain dogs and breeders. However, the Buzzards believe in letting the dogs speak for themselves and not looking at others as competition. They have their own vision and goals for their breeding program and ensure their productions are well socialized and part of their family. Every Knucklehead bully is preloved!
When it comes to personal interests, the Buzzards prioritize their fitness and overall health. They also find Bully Girl Magazine to be a great resource for learning about the breed, other kennels, and bloodlines.
As they look ahead to 2023, their main goal is to simply continue to get better. In ten years, they hope the Bully breed community is one of mutual respect and consistency, where the dogs can truly shine.
