Worldwide Kennel: American Bully Breeder in South Carolina

Worldwide Kennel: American Bully Breeder in South Carolina

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Earl Hinton, owner of Worldwide Kennel. We are located in Chester, South Carolina.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

We currently breed the American Bully. I’ve always had love for Pit Bulls, but back in 2019 I purchased my first Bully. I was in love at first sight. This breed's temperament and drive is amazing, and very people friendly.

What is your favorite bloodline?

I would say my favorite bloodlines are Dax, Miagi, and Mugglestone.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

Responsible breeders make sure all dogs have good quality food, clean water, proper shelter, and exercise. Breeders should focus more on the dog itself and bettering the breed, rather than just trying to make a quick dollar.  Breeders need to make sure all dogs are going to the vet, and getting check-ups regularly throughout the year.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

Most of the time my dogs are on hard food, but recently we have been getting into the raw diet.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

At Worldwide Kennel we feed our dogs twice a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

We walk the dogs everyday and we also play fetch. Beginning 2022, we will have some new workouts to put into action.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from Worldwide Kennel from start to finish.

  • I post the puppies on my social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat).
  • When someone shows interest in purchasing one of my pups, I first go through their social media to try and get an initial feel of that individual.
  • If I feel that that individual could be a great fit for my pup, I get contact information to set up a phone call. The phone call consists of basic questions about the quality of care they have to offer the puppy (able to supply adequate food and water, will the puppy have space to roam and run, does the individual have adequate time to care for and exercise the puppy, etc).
  • If I feel that the individual can properly care for the puppy, We set a date for that individual to pick up their puppy, and make payment arrangements.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

We have been to shows, but we have not entered a dog into a show yet.

What advice does Worldwide Kennel have for any upcoming breeders?

Be patient! Don't try to compare your success to any one else. Always be open to learn more about the breed. Your kennel will only grow as long as you "water and feed it".

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

Setbacks and failed litters.

How do you think they can overcome this problem?

Staying focused on the dogs and the goal for their kennel. Never stop trying.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I really don't have one certain person that I look up to. I gain knowledge from everybody.

Tell us about one of Worldwide Kennel main goals for 2022.

One of our goals is to produce 2-3 successful litters and finish up the new kennel setup. We would also like to at least place at a show.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

I would say in 10 years, I would love for the bully breed to be the top breed around.

What separates Worldwide Kennel from the competition?

We focus more on our kennel, and not the hype or trend. We do things our own way.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

I love to go fishing and four wheeler riding.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I think Bully Girl Magazine is amazing. It's a great way for upcoming breeders to get exposure.
