Silverback Bullies Sweden: American Bully Breeder

Silverback Bullies Sweden: American Bully Breeder

What is your name, your kennel, and where is your kennel located?

My name is Gile and my kennel is Silverback Bullies Sweden, located in Sweden - the heart of Scandinavia.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

We breed American Bullys of different sizes but have a crush on big muscular XL dogs. We love the bully breed because of the breed’s good temper. Bully’s are a smart family dog with a big heart. Their love and care for children is fantastic.

What is your favorite bloodline?

Bossyline and Gottiline are my favorites because of the body structure, colors and how calm their dogs are.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

A responsible breeder cares about health even if you lose money. It's never money over bitches in responsible breeding. Knowing the history of each dog you have and the health is most important.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

We feed our dogs with mixed dry and raw food for the best results. When we combine, we have our little secrets.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

It depends on each dog and the needs they have at the time, but let's say two or three times a day!

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

Just like bodybuilders and sportists, to get the best result, they bulk at winter and lean out for summer. Exercises like spring pole, weight pull, and something as simple as fetch will extend your dog's life. Just don't forget to passively train your dog through the physical training for the best mental training also. Your dog's mental training is great for stressful situations.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from Silverback Bullies Sweden from start to finish.

After you check out our website and contact us, you will present yourself and explain your experience with dogs. We prefer that our pups end up in families with children. They’ll learn patience, and children get a loyal family member and best friend to rely on through growing up.

After you pay a deposit you can select your pick by visiting the puppies, or during this “corona time”, you can choose through video and pictures if you want. When the pup is finished with vaccines, deworming and health control, you will receive your pup with some food and a blanket, which the pups mom laid on to smell like home, so the pup can sleep tight the first night.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

Yes, we show a couple of our dogs. You can visit our instagram page for updates.

What advice does Silverback Bullies Sweden have for any upcoming breeders?

Stay dedicated to what you are doing and don't let the negative people stop you from making your vision come true. Do your homework on the bloodlines and choose a good base for your kennel. That way, you will have strong healthy dogs that may end up as your own bloodline. Competition is good as long as you see it from a positive perspective.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

The most difficult thing to overcome is the economic drop that occurs when you re-invest, but you do it for the good future of your kennel. Another thing is not to be greedy, but smart. Besides that, ego and jealousy are a big problem that breeders have to overcome.

How do you think they can overcome this?

Just put your heart into breeding and do what feels right. If you only care about money, you will fail in the end. You have to be more humble and stay focused on the main goal and vision.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

We like many breeders, but I can't say that we look up to someone special. We are just trying to stay focused on our own thing, and take in as much advice as we can from anyone that cares for the breed.

Tell us about one of Silverback Bullies Sweden main goals for 2022.

In 2022, we plan to become the biggest responsible breeder of American Bully’s in Scandinavia. Our kennel is under expansion, and we don't plan to stop until we reach the top.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed community, to be 10 years from now.

I hope that everyone in the bully breed community gets more cooperative with each other instead of getting jealous and in a conflict. Jealousy makes you not see clearly, and makes you focus on the wrong things.

What separates Silverback Bullies Sweden from the competition?

Competition is good, and we don’t see anybody as competition in a negative way, but what separates us from others is that we have many different sizes and colors. Just as much as we try not to make bad choices mixing them up, we like to have a wide view. So, if you have a big one, you have to get a small one just to make them cute together. Lol!

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

My other hobbies include sports and nature - a combination of adrenaline and calmness for a balanced body and mind.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

Bully Girl Magazine is a great way to get to know the breed and breeders. We recommend it to all! Bully Girl does so much for the bully community. I have nothing but respect and love for what you guys are doing for the bully game!
