Roman Frenchies: French Bulldog Breeder in California

Rachel Roman is a breeder from Cathedral City, California, and she is the proud owner of Roman Frenchies. Rachel breeds french bulldogs and what inspired her to get involved with that particular breed was when her daughter saw a picture of their first frenchie and they fell in love with the dog. Rachel contacted the breeder and luckily the puppy was still available, and since then, they fell in love with the breed instantly.

Rachel believes in transparency, making sure to breed for a purpose and ensuring that the buyer always has access to her. Before purchasing any dog, she asks if they have done any genetic health testing, and their parents' health conditions are also taken into consideration. Rachel personally does a four-panel health test to all of her females and makes sure any stud that she uses is also health tested to ensure quality health of their puppies.

When it comes to socializing her puppies and preparing them for their new homes, Rachel is very hands-on. She stays with them for the next 8 weeks, from the moment they open their eyes to when they take their first steps. Rachel interacts with them by letting them play with toys and allowing them to roam in the puppy room where they have toys and can be active. She sits with them while rolling a ball, and it's very amusing to watch.

Rachel's favorite bloodline is the Teddy line, and she loves the consistency of the large heads and nice thick bodies. She has about three of that line in her yard and loves the way they look and the way they produce.

Rachel offers a one-year health guarantee for all of her puppies, and all of her dogs are fed twice a day. She feeds her dogs with Victor, a great product, and once a week, she cooks her dogs chicken and vegetables. She adds an egg and fish oil every other day to their diet. To keep her dogs in shape, Rachel built a play area in their yard, where they have a doggy pool, hanging ropes, and toys that they rotate every few weeks. She takes her dogs on early morning walks before it gets too hot, since they live in the desert.

When purchasing a pup from Rachel's kennel, it usually starts with seeing her on social media. She shows everything from start to finish, from the moment they start testing their females to when they do the breeding, to the moment they start welping their puppies. When people see their stories, they fall in love with a specific puppy after following through the whole story. Once a puppy is reserved, Rachel updates the buyer on every little detail. She sends pictures and videos daily and lets them know when the puppies have their first vet check to getting their vaccines. When they come to pick up their puppy, Rachel gives them an amazing goody bag to take home, which includes personalized blankets, puppy toys, their food, house certificate, and pedigree. Every puppy is microchipped, and Rachel's goal is to go above and beyond for all of their puppy buyers.

Rachel's main goal for 2023 is to continue inspiring people and continue breeding quality, healthy dogs. She also wants to continue traveling to different states for shows. In ten years, she would love to see the bully breed community going back to breeding correct dogs, meaning, not allowing DNA to be the only focus on the breeds and to see the longevity of real breeders stand out.

What separates Rachel from the competition is not only does she have a great selection of studs, but she also offers reproduction services. She is able to help other kennels with their own breedings. Rachel's other hobbies include being an upcoming MC for bully shows and being a co-founder of the Coachella Valley Bully Fest, one of the best bully shows in the Desert.
