State your name, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Carlos Hernandez . I am the founder of Pound4Pound Bullys, located in Connecticut. 

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

I breed American Exotic Bully’s. I was inspired by the overall look and temperament of these dogs.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

 I keep all my dogs on a very simple diet year round. This diet includes dry food (Taste of the wild / Sports mix). I also include tuna fish and a raw diet as well.

What is your favorite bloodline?

I'd have to say Daxline, being that I started off with that blood. It has mixed in very well with all the other lines that I'm bringing in to my program. 

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?

Yes, I show my new stud Caesar, and plan on showing a few more coming up in 2018. 

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?

Stick to your own vision and breed for yourself, not for the next person.  

What you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

In my opinion, jealousy and envy. 

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

Everyone needs to come together and stop bashing each other. Then we can all overcome all of the jealousy and envy.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I look up a few good people in the game, not just one in particular. This is because they are not afraid to help others out in this game and always keep it 100%, instead of following hype. 

Tell us about one of your most memorable moments, in 2017 so far.

I’m not sure about most memorable, but I definitely enjoy all the moments when me and my team are able to get together at the shows. I love competing with others and just talking dog. That’s how we enjoy ourselves. 

Describe how you would want things, in the bully Community, to be 10 years from now.

I'd like the bully community to come together in the next 10 years. Even sooner if possible. There are way too many beefs over dogs. Lets get back to it being about the dogs and less about each others egos. 

What separates your kennel from the competition?

What separates my kennel from the competition is that we are not afraid of stepping out of the so called hype. We will always do what's best for the team and for the dogs, no matter what. 

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

Outside of dogs, my hobbies include working on cars and home design. 

What motto do you live by?

Don't really have one to be honest. 

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I've liked BGM from the beginning of coming into this bully game. I appreciate everything they do from supporting the different breeds, to all the kennels and camps. I always purchase something from them at all the shows. It’s a great magazine.
