Iceline Bullyz: American Bulldog Breeder in California

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Larry Fultz III, and my kennel is called Iceline Bullyz located in Redding, California (2 hours north of Sacramento).

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

At Iceline Bullyz, I have been breeding American bulldogs since 2007, but for the past 8 years I have been working with micro exotic bullies. My passion is to produce the cleanest bully possible that stands under 10 inches tall. The goal of my breeding is for the dogs to look like a micro-extreme bully, but move like an American Pitbull Terrier.

What is your favorite bloodline?

My yard is stacked with Daxline, Miagi, Bapeline, and Devilspit blood. It takes those 4 bloodlines to produce the signature look that Iceline Bullyz puts out on a consistent basis.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

A responsible dog breeder has to be dedicated to his dogs and their yard; all of the dogs must get plenty of attention. The dogs have to be up on their booster shots, and they must always have their favorite food with plenty of water. A good dog breeder never over breeds. They respect the breed and make sure that the puppies find great homes.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

My dogs are on Diamond chicken and rice 365 days a year..

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

The bulldogs are fed 2 cups of food, twice a day with treats throughout the day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

The food that the dogs eat is a very important part of them staying in shape. I’ll let my dogs run around the 10-acre yard all day until it’s time for bed.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from Iceline Bullyz from start to finish.

If I received a call from a customer who was sure about wanting a puppy, I would have that customer send a deposit to my PayPal account (at an agreed upon price) to lock in the puppy of their choice. When the customer’s puppy is ready to be picked up or shipped out, that puppy will come with a health certificate and a 1-year health guarantee.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

Iceline Bullyz hasn’t been showing dogs due to the COVID restrictions, but since the restrictions are letting up, I may begin that process again. I would show my 3 studs: Iceline 5g, The Iceman, and Superfly.

What advice does Iceline Bullyz have for any upcoming breeders?

Make sure that you have a true love for the breed and you're not in it to make money. Most of the money you’ll make in this business will be spent on the dogs.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

The most difficult thing to overcome in this business is the assumptions people have about breeding. Some people buy a couple of puppies and start breeding to make extra money, but they’ll only breed for two years, sell their yard, and disappear.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

They have to have a true love for the dogs, and they have to make sure that the dogs end up in great homes. If you don’t have the love that I have for my dogs, then you will never make it.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I look up to Edgar Hernandez.  He has always pointed me in the right direction when it comes to the look that I’m wanting to produce with my dogs.

Tell us about one of Iceline Bullyz main goals for 2022.

One of the main goals for Iceline Bullyz in 2022 is to win dog shows with my stud Iceline 5g.

Describe how you would want things in the bully breed community to be 10 years from now.

10 years from now, I want to see micro exotic bullies that have the mobility of an American Pitbull Terrier.

What separates Iceline Bullyz from the competition?

What separates Iceline Bullyz from the competition is that I truly put my all into my dogs. Each kennel is 6ft tall, 6ft wide, and 10ft deep on top of a 80ft x 16ft concrete slab. I want my customers to come by and pick up their puppy and see how much time and attention I give to my dogs.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

Outside of breeding, I buy and restore classic cars and trucks.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I have been a big fan of Bully Girl Magazine for years!
