RnB Bulliez: XL American Bully Breeder in California

RnB Bulliez: XL American Bully Breeder in California

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

We are Rudy & Breanna Medrano, founders of  RnB Bulliez. You can find us in Long Beach, CA.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

We are XL American bully breeders. Growing up in LA, everyone had a bully. Growing up, we always had at least one in our backyard.. We loved the bully breeds but when we discovered XL’s through Instagram, we knew this was the dog we always wanted.

What is your favorite bloodline?

Our favorite bloodlines would have to be Gottiline and Razors Edge. As far as XL blood, we’d have to say Bossy Blood.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

Responsible dog breeders make sure to have regular vet visits, to be sure their dogs are healthy. They make sure their kennel is clean, the dogs are properly being taken care of and getting one on one time.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

We mainly feed our dogs Victor dry food, and sometimes raw meat.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

Sage is 6 months, and we free feed her and Kilo, being 2 years of age, eats twice a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

Our dogs go on daily (2 mile) walks, and on top of that, we play tug of war and fetch.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from RnB Bulliez from start to finish.

We haven’t had our first breeding yet, but when we sell our pups, we will keep things as professional and helpful as possible.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

No we don’t currently show, but we are planning to put Sage in the show ring though.

What advice does RnB Bulliez have for any upcoming breeders?

Try and learn from other breeders as much as you can. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Lastly, stay consistent on social media.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

Not conforming to the standards of others, as in using the same studs as everyone else. We believe in staying true to the breed and keeping our dogs we produce “bully”. We value quality over quantity.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

By remembering the most important things, which are the dogs health, structure and temperament.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

We respect Bossy Kennels for their commitment to the breed. We also look up to LoLo Bulliez a lot for their hard work and dedication they put into the game. One thing they’ve taught us is to carry ourselves with integrity, and to always be genuine. They gave us the confidence we needed to start up our own kennel.

Tell us about one of RnB Bulliez main goals for the year 2020.

With 3 months left, we hope to grow and get our name out there. Right now we are preparing ourselves for upcoming litters in 2021!

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

We hope to make a name for ourselves in the next 10 years, and would love to see more support and unity in the XL game.

What separates RnB Bulliez from the competition?

We don’t want to be in competition. We all want to produce badass dogs, and we will.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

We are foodies, so we love trying new restaurants, food trucks and mom & pop shops. We also love spending time with family.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

We love Bully Girl Mag! Thank you for giving us this interview opportunity. Also, thanks for giving other up and coming kennels a chance to be recognized. We love people like you, who show support!
