Lowes Bullys: Pocket American Bully Breeder in Mississippi

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

My name is George Lowe, and I own Lowes Bullys located in Madison, Mississippi.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

We breed American Bullys, pockets to be exact. The companionship of the bully breed is amazing. I have bred many breeds but this by far takes the cake.

What is your favorite bloodline?

My favorite bloodlines are Remyline, Gotty, Muscletone, Magoo, Razors Edge, Mikelands, and Rocko.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

A responsible dog breeder is someone who knows and studies the breed and takes passion in their program.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

Monday through Saturday we feed our dogs Sportsmix kibble, and on Sundays we feed them chicken feet. They are given vitamins and prebiotic daily.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

The dogs are fed twice a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

The dogs are kept in shape through the Slatmill, Springpole, and walking.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from your kennel from start to finish.

  • Once you’ve decided to purchase with us we work on getting your deposit paid to claim your pup.
  • We then mail off contracts and receipts for customers to sign and send back.
  • On the day of pick-up, we provide you with your pup and all necessary paperwork. A Lowes Bullys logo shirt, collar, toy, and first bag of food is free and included with your purchase.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

Currently, three of our dogs are being showed in the ABKC shows

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?

Here’s some advice I have for upcoming breeders:

  • Be loyal to yourself, others, and the dogs.
  • Work hard and play harder.
  • Always trust in yourself and your program.
  • Keep a clean vision of the standard bully class you're breeding in.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

A difficult thing to overcome is breeding out flaws in dogs.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

You have to breed the dogs with the attributes you're lacking in your bulls.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I look up to everyone that represents the bully community well and has great business sense.

Tell us about one of your main goals for 2022.

My main goals for 2022 is to give my dogs the champion title they deserve and to keep producing badass bulls.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

Nothing is perfect, but I want the community to be better as a whole.

What separates your kennel from the competition?

What separates Lowes Bullys from everyone else is our athletic bulls. They have structure correctness, and the color is just a plus.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I also enjoy my street racing truck.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

Bully Girl Magazine is a wonderful source that's been created to let the community meet new people and see new programs.
