My name is Robert Blaking. My kennel is IBBullies and I am located in Louisville, KY.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

I breed American Bullies. What inspired me to get into this breed was when I went to my first dog show here in Louisville, KY and completely fell in love with the breed.

What is your favorite bloodline?

My Favorite Bloodline Is Dax

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

In my opinion the characteristics of a responsible breeder is one who provides their dog with a high quality of care. This includes providing all dogs with quality food, clean water, proper shelter, exercise, socializing & professional vet care. Also, raising dogs to be pets in a home environment.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

I keep my dogs on a high protein diet throughout the year.

Are there any specific brands of dog food that you recommend?

I recommend Eukanuba, Bully Max and InukShuk.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

I feed my adult dogs once a day and my puppies 2-3 times a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

I keep my dogs in shape throughout the year by daily walks and frequent exercise.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from IBBullies from start to finish.

  • When it comes to purchasing a puppy from my kennel the first thing I do is send pictures and videos of all available pups to any interested buyers.
  • Deposits will then be accepted once the pup is 6 weeks old.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

Yes, I currently show all of my dogs.

What advice does IBBullies have for any upcoming breeders?

My advice for any upcoming breeder is to have a vision and stay focused.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

I think that the most difficult thing to overcome in the bully game is all of the haters.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

In order to overcome this, you have to be able to drown them out as much as you can and remain focused on your own vision.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I look up to all of the breeders that have been doing this for decades. This is because knowledge is powerful and you can learn a lot from them.

Tell us about one of IBBullies main goals for 2022.

One of my main goals for 2022 is to produce great show quality dogs and better the breed.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

In 10 years from now I would like to see better quality dogs.

What separates IBBullies from the competition?

What separates my kennel from the competition is that I stay focused on my own vision.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

Another hobby of mine is hosting fun shows here in Louisville, KY.
