State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
I am Al-Shakur Gordon, of Clear Cut Bullies, in New Jersey.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I breed American, Pocket, and Micro size bullies. I’ve always loved this specific type of breed and size. I grew up loving these American bullies because of how they are built and the temperament that comes with them. They are by far my favorite breed of dogs.
What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodline is the Cowboy line from Prizebullz on Instagram.
In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?
My opinion of a responsible dog breeder is someone who loves everything about their dogs and is not in it for the money. An accountable dog breeder actually loves what they do.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
Throughout the year, I feed my dogs maximum bully(kibble) and sometimes raw food.
How many times a day do you feed your dogs?
We feed the dogs twice a day.
How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?
We keep the dogs in shape with natural exercises like running, walking, and playing.
Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from Clear Cut Bullies from start to finish.
- I have a deposit system set up on the pup where people can lock in with the 1st-4th picks out the litter.
- We will write up a contract to lock in their pick.
Do you currently show any of your dogs?
No, but I’m planning on entering shows soon.
What advice does Clear Cut Bullies have for any upcoming breeders?
Stay consistent in what you’re doing and always give your dogs the attention they need. If you do this for the money, you are not going to last. Exposure is big. If you're going to breed your bully to another bully, find qualities in that bully that compliment your bully, and the color is always everything.
What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
What I think is the most challenging thing for people in the bully game to overcome is giving all your dogs equal attention and having patience.
How do you think they can overcome this problem?
You can overcome this by learning about each of your dog's personalities.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I look up to Clutchkennels, Prizebullz, Murdough88, and Christina_uniquebulliez. I look up to them because I see how they treat their dogs and the love and passion they have for what they do.
Tell us about one of Clear Cut Bullies main goals for 2022.
My goal for 2022 is to start entering shows and have a successful running kennel. I would also like to have my own running bloodline.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
I want the bully breed community to be the best dog breed out there ten years from now. I’d like everyone to respect one another and not talk down on each other's kennel but give advice when needed.
What separates Clear Cut Bullies from the competition?
What separates my kennel from the competition is that I’m not competing with any other kennels but just trying to have a successful kennel.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
My other hobbies or interests include working out, gaming, and flipping properties.
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I think the Bully Girl Magazine is an amazing magazine with some of the top-line bullies in it. I would love for my dogs to be a part of the magazine.
