Big Band Kennels: XL American Bully Breeder in Alabama

Meet Jeremiah Youngblood, owner of Big Band Kennels and breeder of XL American Bullies. Big Band Kennels is located in Vincent, Alabama. Jeremiah was inspired to get involved in breeding these majestic dogs due to his love of big breeds and his own bold personality.

Jeremiah has learned firsthand about the importance of health testing, as one of his dogs was diagnosed with anemia. To ensure that his puppies are well-prepared for their new homes, he spends a lot of time socializing and building their confidence.

Jeremiah has a particular affinity for the BGK bloodline, known for producing dogs with impressive size, drive, and longevity. While temperament is important to him, he also recognizes the value of physical appearance in the show ring and has had success with dogs that exhibit Victor-type traits.

At Big Band Kennels, the well-being of their dogs is a top priority. They feed their dogs a combination of high-quality dog food and treats like steak, eggs, and chicken, and will keep a dog in the kennel or find a new home if they sense mistreatment or abuse.

Jeremiah has received guidance and mentorship from both a fellow breeder/rapper and his breeding partner, and has taken his own setbacks in stride, determined to grow and improve. In the next decade, he hopes to continue breeding healthier and even more impressive dogs, and establish his kennel as a leader in structure as well as size.

When he's not busy with his dogs, Jeremiah enjoys basketball, skateboarding, and spending time with his family. He also has high hopes for the future of Bully Girl Magazine and believes it will remain a major player in the industry.

Great interview! Very enthusiastic about his kennels. I’ve seen his dogs firsthand and can say that they’re top grade.
